Pastor John Bio
John Torrens pastors the internationally renowned Durban Christian Centre in Durban, South Africa. An anointed and vibrant preacher and teacher, he travels the world sharing the good news of Jesus with unique insight into Gods Word, and with a practicality that challenges people to receive the miraculous life-changing intervention of God in their lives.
While completing his training in pharmacological medicine, Pastor Torrens earned his degree in theology at the International Christian Bible College in Durban, a dynamic school of the Spirit of which he is now Principal. He also was key to the establishment of the colleges flourishing second campus in the city of Cape Town.
Working hand-in-hand with his wife, Joy, Pastor Torrens oversights the 20 000-strong Durban Christian Centre, a city-wide multi-cultural church in one of South Africa's key cities. Their ministry is multifaceted, and includes oversight of the DCC HOPE Centre Clinic, and the Place of HOPE Rehabilitation Centre agencies which offer ongoing spiritual and medical care for children, adults and families affected by the scourges of HIV/AIDS and various forms of addiction.
Through his preaching of Gods Word, his ability to flow strongly in the gifts of the Spirit, and his unique ability to lead others into life-transforming worship, Pastor Torrens aims to bring a new dimension to Christian living which gives all believers clear insight into the glorious, powerful life available to them today.
